The purpose of this unit standard is to encompass the skills needed to monitor the level of service between an organisation and its customers, both internal and external. This Unit Standard is intended for junior managers of organisations.

    • Standards for personal/professional behaviour in the education of children
    • Concepts of professionalism, professional ethics, values, accountability and good practice in the early childhood development sector
    • Key principles and values for working with adults, children and communities
    • The value of reflecting on own practice, individually and within the team
    • Identify areas for own occupational development to provide a high-quality early childhood development programme
    • The importance of modelling professional behaviour when working with children, families, colleagues and others in a centre-based or non-centre-based setting.
